This notice explains what The Cosy Cocoon does with your personal information. It is written in plain English rather than legal language, and it is kept deliberately short because we collect very little.

Who we are

The Cosy Cocoon runs baby massage and parent and baby classes in Medway, Kent. If you need to contact us about your information, email [email protected] or call 07710 138066.

What we collect and why

  • Enquiries. When you email, call or text, we keep your name and contact details so we can reply and, if you book, organise your place.
  • Bookings. If you book a course we keep your contact details and your baby’s first name and date of birth, so classes are appropriate for their stage. We use your email to send your confirmation, let you know about any changes, and follow up when the course ends, for example with dates for the next one. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click stops them.
  • Health forms. Before your first class we ask about anything relevant to your baby’s health. This is kept only for the duration of your course and is used purely to keep your baby safe.
  • Interest list. If you ask to be told about future course dates, we keep your name and contact details until you tell us to stop.

What we never do

We do not sell or share your details with anyone for marketing. Apart from emails about a course you have booked, we do not send you anything you have not asked for. Photographs of your baby are only ever taken or shared with your explicit permission, and you can say no without any awkwardness.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and booking records are kept for up to two years after your last class, so we can answer questions and meet our insurance and tax obligations. Health forms are destroyed at the end of your course. Interest list details are removed as soon as you ask.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just get in touch and we will sort it out. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
